1) ISO 16001 (Earth-moving machinery-Object detection systems and visibility aids-Performance requirements and tests) (or equivalent Indian standard when formed), shall satisfy the test requirements of ISO 16001.
2) Have Ingress Protection of IP 69K in accordance with IEC 60529 (Degrees of Protection Provided by Enclosures (IP Code)) and test Certificates to these effects are obtained from any Government / NABL Accredited institutions/ Test Houses having adequate test facilities.
While reversing HEMM like dumpers and tippers used in mining are not free of the possibility of hazardous accidents at the rear end.The rear end. Several accidents have occurred in opencast mines while reversing equipment.
Though Audio- visual alarm and rear-view mirrors are safety items available to control this kind of accidents, but they do not give
clear view of the rear side of the vehicle. Which may lead to fatal accidents. The Rear Vision System with Recording Facility
developed by Automation Controls not only enhance the vision of operator by providing rear view, also provides the added advantage
to re-visit the incidence, to eliminate the cause of Accident.
Rear Vision System with Recording Facility with the help of Camera & Monitor delivers clear view of the rear to the
operator and thereby achieves zero accident target for mining vehicle.
The System provides:
1. LCD Monitor with Recorder: To provide good quality video
picture in nearly pitch dark and poor weather conditions
transmitted by camera on the monitor screen before the operator.
Also record the real time movie with Time Stamp. provide power
to the electronic circuit switch on the screen / Camera as soon as
the reverse gear is applied.
2. Infra-Red Day & Night Camera: To provide clear picture of the
object situated at the rear side of vehicle. Infra-Red LED: to
provide sufficient illumination on the object to enable Camera to provide sharp & clear picture even in dark.
The system boots automatically along with starting of Engine / Power source of Machine. It performs initial system check and gives readiness indication. The system shuts down along with Engine.
The system remains in stand-by mode (operation mode whereby the system is active, but no information is transmitted by the camera or monitor) and actuated automatically upon engagement of reverse gear. Which helps the operator for negotiate Blind Area (Killing Zone) to provide uninterrupted vision rear side of Machine. The system returns to Stand-by mode upon release the appropriate
controls by the operator.
The monitor installed in the proper position in front of operator, that it can easily be seen by the Operator sitting in his/her seat in either Day light or Darkness without strain. Appropriate shielding also provide to reduce the effect of direct sunlight onto the Monitor.
The system shall be capable of operating in dark and shall automatically switch to infrared when the brightness of field of view is too low or in case of failure of the tail light.
Components of the system no way restricts any function or operation of the machine. The components are designed and mounted to the machine in such a way that restricts exposure dynamic loads, temperature, shock or vibration and dust that could prematurely damage the device. Components of system are adequately protected from external damage.
The System provided with provisions for recording the images captured with time stamp to enable easy retrieval and analysis of the immediate past more than 24 deployment operating hours.
Camera & Infra-red LED are fitted on the rear of the vehicle.
All the components of system are installed properly in water poof, shock proof & vibration resistant case suitable for high pressure washing. They are mounted with the suitable arrangement to adjust for according to vehicle heights so as to have clear view of rear which helps operator to avoid any accident.
The system operates on 24/12 V DC supply available within the vehicle itself. The components are connected with suitable high- quality extension cable having detachable waterproof 4-pin connector.
